Top Safety Tips for Decorating Your Home this Holiday Season
November 28, 2017Thank you to all the communities, volunteers, and donors who made this year’s Food Drive the largest ever for Henderson Properties! The total collected was 3,610 lbs. Of this, 3,110 lbs went directly to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, and 500 lbs stayed with Harrisburg Crisis Assistance Ministry.
Each year, Henderson Properties invites communities, customers, and the general public to join with us to gather non-perishables for those in need. The Second Harvest Food Bank supplies over 600 charitable organizations in the Greater Charlotte region with food and paper products.
On Nov. 3rd, staff teams delivered 1800 empty bags directly to residents, and then canvassed the same areas on Nov. 10th to pick up the filled bags. Thank you to the following communities for participating this year! Together, we really CAN do more.

Shelly Henderson
Shelly calls herself a “Charlottean” because her family has been there since her elementary school days. She serves as Henderson Properties’ co-founder, along with her husband Phil, managing the day-to-day operations, social media branding and leadership development. Her different life experiences, both positive and challenging, earned the title to her first book Starting From Scratch. Shelly has a servant’s heart and leads her company with purpose and passion. She is mom to two sons who continue as young adults to make her heart swell.
