Recruiting New Talent Benefits Clients

Henderson Properties is growing and bringing on more talent to offer premier real estate services that positively affect the quality of our clients’ lives.

New Maintenance Leadership

In May, Chris Dawalt joined our Maintenance Division as the Maintenance Division Manager after relocating from Connecticut. Chris brings over 35 years of experience as an accomplished facilities engineer and construction manager with commercial and multi-family residential property management. Chris is an out-of-the box innovator focused on building strong relationships and helping clients complete maintenance projects on time and within budget.

Also expanding our maintenance department, Chris Raynsford joined the Maintenance Division as a new Maintenance Technician in August.  Chris, originally from Ironstation, NC, moved to Charlotte in 1990.  Chris owned a small business, Measured Success, and has been involved in remodel, repair, and home improvement for the last 10 years.

Community Services Merger

Our Community Association Management division has grown tremendously in recent months.

Faith Management merged its operations with Henderson Properties in August.  Faith Management is an HOA management firm based in the Mooresville area. Leo Martinez, owner of Faith Management, joined our team as a Community Association Manager and will continue to offer high level service to the 10 communities he has been managing. Leo, originally from Oklahoma, moved to Charlotte in 1984.  We are excited about the opportunity to serve these communities.

In keeping with the growth, the Community Association Management Division hired Community Association Manager Tippi Moose in June. Tippi is originally from Charlotte and has real estate and property management experience in Florida.  She has previously worked for Westwood Gardens HOA, PGA Patio Homes HOA, and was a real estate salesperson and broker/associate for many years in Florida.

Sandra Smith Retired, New HR Manager Hired

One of our dearest and long term employees recently retired.  Sandra Smith, HR Manager, retired on August 7.  She has been with Henderson Properties for 10 years, working in various departments and positions.  Sandra plans to spend more time writing and focusing on her mission work with women’s bible studies and education.  She is excited about the opportunity to spend more time with her family.  She will be deeply missed, though we are excited for her future endeavors.

Stepping into some big shoes, Julie Ross has come onboard as our new HR Manager. Julie has worked in the Human Resources field for over 15 years in various industries, including accounting, recruiting and mental health.  She brings to Henderson Properties a variety of experiences and knowledge.

Shelly calls herself a “Charlottean” because her family has been there since her elementary school days. She serves as Henderson Properties’ co-founder, along with her husband Phil, managing the day-to-day operations, social media branding and leadership development. Her different life experiences, both positive and challenging, earned the title to her first book Starting From Scratch. Shelly has a servant’s heart and leads her company with purpose and passion. She is mom to two sons who continue as young adults to make her heart swell.
